2018 AAAS CASE Workshop

Every spring, AAAS hosts students in an interactive workshop and advocacy day on the hill through the CASE workshop. This year, Jenn Tribble was selected to attend:

I participated in CASE in 2018, my last year as a PhD student, and had such an amazing time (including some unexpected March snow!). We learned about the federal budget, how Congress works - or doesn’t work - and the importance of making our voices heard in the democratic process. CASE also lets you spend an entire day on the Hill talking to legislators and their staff about the importance of funding science. It’s such an empowering and fun experience that I recommend for anyone interested in the intersection of science and policy!
