Congratulations to Jenn Tribble for being selected as a 2018 SfN early career policy ambassador!

Every spring, a group of early career scientists are selected by the Society for Neuroscience for their Early Career Policy Ambassador (ECPA) program. This year, our president and co-founder Jenn Tribble was selected to attend:

The ECPA program through SfN brings together neuroscience graduate students and postdocs who are all interested in public policy. The program is a year-long, but the cornerstone of the program is a spring visit to Washington, DC for an evening of science communication training followed by a day of advocating on the Hill. When I was an ECPA in 2018, we had some homework (the fun kind!) of watching webinars and reading about the federal budgeting process and SfN’s stance on neuroscience funding to prepare for our day on the Hill. It was such a great opportunity to be out in DC and meet other neuroscientists who are also passionate about public policy.
