Science Advocacy Week

Thank you to everyone who participated in Science Advocacy Week! We hope you learned more about advocacy and how to stay engaged into the future!

We started with an informational session open to all and led by GSA to brush up on our knowledge of how the government functions. Knowing this is the first step to effective advocacy!

Then we had an advocacy training led by Associate Vice Chancellor for Environment and Sustainability Mark Gold and UCLA’s Government Relations to prepare us for our district office visits.

Finally, we visited the local offices of our California state representatives, including Assemblymembers Richard Bloom and Sydney Kamlager. Both were engaging and interested in collaborating in the future.
