We hosted a virtual booth at “Exploring Your Universe” (EYU), an annual event organized by graduate students that provides a day of free science education to children in the surrounding UCLA community.

We asked children to write down on postcards why science is important to them. We also got their zip codes – if the parents allowed, of course – so that the postcards can be used in the future to advocate for science.

Thousands of children and parents came to UCLA for a science fair of free science education and games. We provided activities, stickers, and temporary tattoos, all the while working on our science communication skills!
